Systems give management, staff and residents reassurance, security and safety
InstaCare Systems is an independent specialist installer of alarms and nurse call solutions. It focuses on the supply, installation, maintenance and integration of a wide range of electronic applications specifically for the care sector based in the south-west of England.
As part of its product portfolio, InstaCare is proud to offer Courtney Thorne technology. We interviewed, Rash Joomun, Operations Director at InstaCare Systems to understand both his and his company’s opinions and experiences with Courtney Thorne.
How would you describe your relationship with Courtney Thorne?
We’ve installed Courtney Thorne’s nurse call systems in many care homes and learning difficulty centres of all different shapes and sizes, including several larger care home groups for many years. During this time, we’ve developed a great working relationship with all staff at the company. We strongly believe that partner relationships like this have helped the growth and success of our business. Our customers require a versatile solution that is simple and flexible to install and to use. We find Courtney Thorne systems boast many useful features required for the successful day-to-day management of our customer’s homes.
Why did you choose Courtney Thorne’s wireless nurse call systems?
Courtney Thorne has an excellent reputation in the care industry and is renowned as one of the market leaders, providing advanced nurse call bell systems that are simple to install, easily to adapt as homes change and are cost effective for our customers.

How do Courtney Thorne systems differ from other systems?
Courtney Thorne’s nurse call systems use wireless technology and, as such, are quick and easy to install, which our customers prefer so as not to disturb their residents. Wireless also means that systems are easier to adapt to the care homes’ needs and any future changes in the use or design of the home.
When our customers need to consider CQC requirements, they find Courtney Thorne’s systems give their management, staff and residents the reassurance, security and safety required, backed up by a suite of management reports to evidence good care practices.
How do you find the installation process?
Installation is simple and straightforward with plenty of programming options to cover a range of different requirements. Our customers love that fact we don’t need to disrupt the daily activities in a home as there is no wiring infrastructure required.
If we require technical or product advice, we have access to good, reliable support both from Rob, our Account Manager, and the rest of the Courtney Thorne team.
How do you rate the overall service you receive from Courtney Thorne?
Great – with 5-star service and support from Rob and good, solid level of technical support received from the in-house support team. This includes support for both current Courtney Thorne products and, unlike many other suppliers, on discontinued products still out in the field today. We can even call on support from Courtney Thorne’ own field-based engineers if necessary, meaning that, collectively, we give the customer the best solution and the very best service.
