BUILD THE FUTURE – NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK
It’s “National Apprenticeship Week” and this year’s theme is “Build the future”.
Apprentice Jake Murphy who recently joined Courtney Thorne’s award winning Technical Services Team, has this to say: –
“After being at Courtney Thorne for a month, I have found everyone here to be very welcoming and extremely helpful. Coming from an arts/fitness background, I knew I was jumping into a role that would mean starting from scratch. The guys in the Technical Services team have been sharing their Nurse call knowledge and I love having a job that teaches me new skills with cutting edge technology, whilst giving me the opportunity to put my customer service skills to good use.
I also have an exciting platform to learn through the apprenticeship training scheme with qualifications that will drive me to new heights within Courtney Thorne. They will provide me with knowledge and opportunities to trial and error new approaches for testing and analysis purposes, giving me a long term goal for my career development.
Having this opportunity was a rewarding start to 2021 and I’m very grateful for it.”
Operations Director Andy Vale, who spearheaded the technical Apprentice scheme at Courtney Thorne, commented:
“The decision to commence with an apprenticeship program was taken last year and I have to say during these early months we believe this was an excellent decision. Jake is ‘learning the ropes’ at a superb rate and when coupled with the comprehensive program put in place by the official training organisation PETA, it will be very rewarding for both Jake and Courtney Thorne’s customers.”
